Frequently Asked Questions
Why Hire A Wedding Consultant?
You'll have time for you and your fiancé to spend together,
enjoying your engagement and planning your wedding without all of the
stress. You tell me your fairytale dream and I do the research,
organization, and negotiating to help you make it happen.
I've screened the most talented area wedding professionals to offer
couples the best of the Los Angeles area. I know how to find you the
best services to suit your needs at the best price, and am able to
help you avoid costly mistakes. I am often asked to negotiate more
effectively in order to give you more for your money.
What Do You Charge?
I offer services not packages. I will assist you in building my
services into something that fits your specific needs. All services
are custom designed and based on our face to face meeting time and not
phone calls, research time and email.
Do You Accept Commissions?
I DO NOT accept any commissions or referral fees from any of the
vendors I recommend. I refer to them based on their reputation for
quality and service... if they offer any referral fee or discount I
ask them to pass it on to you, my client.
How Do I Know I Have The Right
Consultant?
With Lula Carter Planning and Design, what you see if what you get.
I am the only consultant you will ever deal with... this is a personal
relationship for me and I chose in stating my business not to hire
other consultants to work for me.
The most important thing in hiring any vendor is finding your
comfort level. I am always happy to meet with you to discuss what I
can do to assist you in your planning and see if our personalities
mesh. We will be spending a great deal of time together, I have the
privilege of being trusted in assisting with the most important day of
your life ... there are no "do overs" ... I want you to be
comfortable.
How Soon Should I Hire You?
That decision is really up to you, but the sooner I am involved in
the planning the less stress you will encounter. So you can hire us at
the very beginning of the planning process or the last six weeks
before the wedding.
